      대여위치의 이용약관

      • If you want to pick up the vehicle and return it to a different location, an additional fee will be payable. If you asked for a one-way rental when you booked, the fee will be included in your total rental price. If you didn't ask for a one-way rental when you booked and you want to return the vehicle to a different location in the same country, you can expect pay an additional fee of between EUR 20.00 and EUR 70.00. Drop offs at a different location must be agreed with us in advance. Please contact us if you would like to understand what additional fee will apply to a one-way rental in circumstances where it didn't form part of your original rental agreement. If you did not request a one-way rental but return the vehicle to a different location, you will be charged a one-way fee at the 'pay at location' prices available on the day you return the vehicle.
      • Minimum driver age restrictions When you book, you'll be told if there are any minimum age restrictions for the vehicle you request. If you're not sure, please check your booking confirmation email or call our customer support team. You can drive an Avis car if you are 23 years and older with a valid driving licence for at least 3 years old for the car groups A, B and H. Drivers aged 25 years old and older with a driving licence valid for at least 1 year can drive car groups: C, D, E, F, G, M, N, P. Drivers aged 30 years old and above, can drive car groups I, J, K, L, O provided that they hold a driving licence for at least three years. Young driver surcharge If you or any of your drivers are between 23 and 24 years, old you can drive the car categories A, B, H and will have to pay a young driver surcharge of EUR 10.00 per day, capped at 10 days (VAT included).The cost of a young driver surcharge will be built into the price confirmed at booking stage. If you add an additional driver onto the rental at pick up, you may be charged a young driver surcharge (you will be asked to agree to this and is likely to be EUR 10.00 per day. Maximum driver age restrictions When you book, you'll be told if there are any maximum age restrictions for the vehicle you request. If you're not sure, please check your booking confirmation email or call the reservations team. In most cases there is no maximum driver age restriction. If you are renting with one of our affiliates. (Rental Provider) there may be a maximum driver age set at over 70 either 75 or 80 years of age for insurance reasons.
      • Requirement to bring a valid driving licence with you. In Cyprus, all drivers must bring their valid driving licence with them. If any of the following applies: their physical driving licence was issued in a non-roman alphabet, an international driving permit is required. and we cannot confirm with certainty the details included within the driving licence, the driver will also need to provide an international driving licence. If this might apply to you, please contact us (prior to your pickup date) as we would be pleased to confirm if an international licence or official translation will be required. We do not accept digital driving licences. Minimum licence requirements You can drive an Avis car if you are 23 years and older with a valid driving licence for at least 3 years old for the car groups A, B and H. Drivers aged 25 years old and older with a driving licence valid for at least 1 year can drive car groups: C, D, E, F, G, M, N, P. Drivers aged 30 years old and above, can drive car groups I, J, K, L, O provided that they hold a driving licence for at least three years. If a licence does not show the driver has held it for the minimum period, then they must provide evidence, such as: previous driving licences; or a letter from their driving licence authority stating that they have held it for this minimum period.
      • Car seats We offer Baby, Child and Child Booster seats. A Baby seat is typically suitable for a child from birth, weighing no more than 13 kilos. A Child seat is typically suitable for a child weighing between 9 and 18 kilos. A Booster seat is typically suitable for a child weighing between 18 and 45 kilos. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to ensure that the child car seat is properly installed before driving. In Cyprus, children are required to use a child car seat until they reach a height of 135cm. The fee for renting a Baby seat is EUR 7.50 per day. (Vat Included) The fee for renting a Child seat is EUR 10.00 per day. (Vat Included) The fee for renting a Child Booster seat is EUR 5.00 per day. (Vat Included) Other Equipment The fee for renting a Snow Chains is EUR 5.00 per day. (Vat Included) The fee for renting a Mobile Wi-Fi devices is EUR 9.00 per day. (Vat Included) Please note: In many countries, including Cyprus, it is illegal to drive while using a handheld mobile phone, tablet or other communications device. It is your responsibility to drive safely and according to the laws of the country you’re driving in. In the event that the special equipment’s are damaged, lost or stolen, the cost of a replacement will be at market value.
      • Returning the vehicle Unless you agreed a different refuelling option (see below), you must return the vehicle to us with the same amount of fuel it had in it when you picked it up usually a full tank as shown on the factory-installed fuel gauge or automatically logged in respect of connected cars. We recommend you fill up as close to the return location as you can and no further than 15 kms, half an hour before your return date and keep the receipt to show us. If you don't return the vehicle with a full tank and you can't show us a receipt for fuel we will charge you. Refuelling options Fuel Up Front - this is charged at the average fuel price for Cyprus at the start of your rental period. This is only available where you have added it as an option at booking stage or asked to add it to your rental prior to you collecting the vehicle. If you have added this option, the cost will be on your Rental Agreement Form. However, you don't get a refund for any fuel you don't use. EZ Fuel - depending on where you're renting, you pay a fixed fee of between EUR 20.00 and EUR 30.00 for cars, for a specific distance of 150 kms. If you have added this option, the cost will be on your Rental Agreement Form. If you bring the car tank full, the amount will be reimbursed to your payment card. Pay on Return - When you rent a vehicle from us, the amount you pay for fuel is determined by the fuel gauge that was installed by the factory. We round down to the nearest eighth (1/8) of a tank (costs are based on the manufacturer's stated fuel tank capacity). At the end of your rental period, we charge you at market price plus tax for any fuel that is missing, as well as EUR 20.00 refuelling surcharge. The price per litre will be stated on your Rental Agreement Form. Fully Electric Vehicles Battery Charge Requirements at Return We charge a fixed amount dependent on the battery charge level showing on the factory-installed battery gauge when you return the vehicle. This is the "Pay on Return" rate for electric vehicles. The amounts charged are set out in the table below: Battery Charge Level at Return Fixed Cost (inclusive of VAT) If you return the electric vehicle with 70% or more battery charge* No Cost If you return the electric vehicle with between 11% - 69% battery charge EUR 35.00 If you return the electric vehicle with 10% or less battery charge EUR 80.00 *Unless the vehicle had less than 70% battery charge when you collected it, in which case, you must return it with at least the same % battery charge as it had at time of pick-up in order for no additional costs to be applied. Charging During Rental You are responsible for all electricity costs incurred when charging the vehicle at public or private charging stations during the rental period. Keep all charging receipts for your records. The vehicle is provided with sufficient charge for immediate use (minimum 80% unless otherwise stated on your Rental Agreement Form). Important Notes for Electric Vehicle Renters: • Battery range varies depending on driving conditions, temperature, speed, and use of vehicle accessories (heating/cooling systems) • Charging infrastructure in Cyprus is developing - we recommend planning your journey with charging stops in mind • Charging times vary depending on the type of charging station (rapid chargers vs. standard chargers) • You are responsible for registering with and paying for any charging network services you use Battery Damage Liability: The Renter is informed that deep-discharging a lithium-ion battery can cause permanent capacity loss. If a post-rental diagnostic confirms battery degradation due to the Renter's "failure to keep the battery above 8% State of Charge (SoC), the Renter shall be liable for the full cost of battery repair or replacement, notwithstanding any basic insurance or "Collision Damage Waiver" (CDW) purchased. Electric Vehicle Equipment Loss and Damage Charging Cable Replacement: If the charging cable provided with your electric vehicle is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear, you will be charged EUR 250.00 plus VAT for replacement. Please ensure the charging cable is stored securely in the vehicle when not in use and is returned with the vehicle in good condition. Charging Port Damage: Damage to the vehicle's charging port will be assessed and charged in accordance with our Theft, Loss & Damages Policy. The charging port is a critical component of an electric vehicle and damage may result in significant repair costs. Please exercise care when connecting and disconnecting charging cables. Battery System Damage: You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle's battery or electrical system caused by misuse, including but not limited to: use of incompatible charging equipment, charging in inappropriate conditions, or allowing the battery to fully deplete repeatedly. Such damage may not be covered by standard Damage Waiver products. Damage/Loss/Repair Processing Fee Please see the section titled Waiver and Protection Options in the General Conditions which provides information on how and when we charge costs if the vehicle, keys, any accessories, charging cables (for electric vehicles), or any vehicle documents are lost, stolen or damaged. You can purchase additional waiver and protection products to reduce the amount you would otherwise owe please see details in Part 2 below. As well as charging for any damage or loss suffered, we will also charge you a damage processing fee in accordance with our "Theft, Loss & Damages Policy" (see General Conditions). In Cyprus, the Damage/Loss/Repair Processing Fee is EUR 45.00. Please note that as foreign exchange rates and banking charges fluctuate, we cannot take responsibility for any discrepancies between the amount paid and the amount refunded. Please note that we cannot accept debit cards for car rental pre- authorisation payments. Pre-authorizations and Security Deposits To ensure a seamless rental process and compliance with our agreement's terms, a pre-authorization hold will be placed on the credit card presented at the time of pick-up. The following major credit cards for pre-authorization are accepted: Visa credit cards Mastercard credit cards Avis-issued charge cards / full credit vouchers Please be aware that debit cards cannot be used for car rental pre-authorisation. This hold will not exceed the excess amount designated for the chosen vehicle category. This pre-authorized amount may be applied, in case we have to charge you at the end of the rental for scenarios relevant to your rental such as: i. costs to refuel the vehicle (where relevant). ii. additional rental charges in circumstances where you fail to return the vehicle or any optional extras at the end of the agreed rental period or to the agreed return location. iii. any additional charges or fines you incur relating to your use of the vehicle (which we have been notified of prior to you returning the vehicle, which will include, for example, charges relating to traffic violations, damage to the vehicle, or any other costs incurred due to your use of the vehicle, including its accessories); and/or iv. costs incurred as a result of exceeding any relevant mileage restrictions. Where the pre-authorisation we take does not cover the charges you incur, we will request you make a further payment for the additional amounts owed. You'll need to provide a payment card in your own name with enough funds available. Please note that due to fluctuating foreign exchange rates and possible banking charges, we cannot be held responsible for any difference between the amount paid and the amount refunded In relation to certain high value vehicles, we may require you to provide us with two payment cards for the purposes of the pre-authorisation. Where this is the case, this will be confirmed when making a booking. If you'd like more details, please call our customer support team or ask a member of our team.
      • Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance. Information not available at this time, please check at time of rental. Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
      • You are not allowed to take your vehicle outside of the Republic of Cyprus. The vehicle's protection and road assistance cover is limited within the Republic of Cyprus and the Army bases of Dhekelia, Akrotiri, and the UN Buffer Zone. It is important to note that it is strictly prohibited to drive an Avis vehicle across the Green Zone and into the northern part of Cyprus, which is occupied by Turkish military forces. If these restrictions are not followed, any insurance coverage will be considered invalid. In such cases, the driver will be held solely responsible for any damage to or loss of the vehicle. This includes all financial liabilities, such as the cost of returning a damaged vehicle. If you require further information, please contact the Cyprus Reservations team.
      • Damage Waiver In most cases, Damage Waiver is provided with the vehicle as standard. If it is included, it will be stated on your Rental Agreement Form (and in your booking confirmation). Damage Waiver reduces the amount you pay for each clearly separate incident of damage if the vehicle is damaged (or the amount you pay to replace any keys, accessories (including charging cables for electric vehicles) or vehicle documents that are lost, stolen or damaged). The amount you pay for each clearly separate incident of damage will be the lower of a) the applicable cost payable under the Theft, Loss, and Damages Policy; or b) the excess stated on your Rental Agreement Form, along with a damage processing fee of EUR 45.00. What's Not Covered: - Damage to the underside of the car, wheels & tires, mirrors, glass, antenna, windscreen - Loss of keys, any accessories or documents. - Interior Damage. - Damaged clutch, Damage caused by lack of oil, or incorrect fuel. - Damage caused by water or fire, vandalism, being blasted, intentional burning, driving under the influence, driving the vehicle without due care and attention, driving on unpaved roads, driving outside the Republic of Cyprus or by an unauthorized driver is not covered. - Damage caused intentionally, by negligence, or by a breach of the rental agreement's terms and conditions is not covered. - Force Majeure: Damage caused by fire, natural disasters (force majeure), or terrorist attacks is not covered. Vehicles must not be taken to the northern part of the island which is occupied by Turkish military forces. If these restrictions are not followed, any insurance coverage will be considered invalid. In such cases, the driver will be held solely responsible for any damage to or loss of the vehicle. This includes all financial liabilities, such as the cost of returning a damaged vehicle. Normally between EUR 7.50 and EUR 14.00 per day (if not included as standard) Super Damage Waiver (SCDW) An excess reduction product which reduces your damage waiver excess to zero and for certain car categories up to EUR 520.00 (or, if higher, the amount shown on your Rental Agreement Form) on cars. Normally between EUR 25.00 and EUR 60.00 per day Theft Protection waiver (TP) In most cases, Theft Protection waiver is provided with the vehicle as standard. If it is included, it will be stated on your Rental Agreement Form (and in your booking confirmation). Theft Protection waiver reduces the amount you pay if the vehicle is stolen during the rental period. The amount you pay will be the lower of a) the applicable cost payable under the Theft, Loss, and Damages Policy; or b) the excess stated on your Rental Agreement Form, plus our loss of use and damage processing fee of EUR 45.00 Normally between EUR 7.50 and EUR 14.00 per day based on the car group (if not included as standard) Super Theft Protection waiver (STP) An excess reduction product which reduces your theft protection excess to zero and for certain car categories up to EUR 520.00 (or, if higher, the amount shown on your Rental Agreement Form) on cars. Normally between EUR 25.00 and EUR 60.00 per day Windscreen protection This protection reduces the amount you pay to zero if the windscreen is damaged while you’re renting the vehicle. Having windscreen protection also means you won’t pay an administration fee. Normally EUR 7.50 per day Roadside Assistance Plus This product provides roadside assistance without any additional costs being charged if you break down as a result of vehicle failure you have caused (this includes lost keys). This includes flat battery, keys locked in cars or key lost, assistance for running out of fuel (fuel costs apply) and assistance for flat tyre (additional tyre costs may apply if Excess reduction not taken). Normally EUR 5.00 per day (charged for a max 10 days to cover rental up to 28 days). Protection packages - Zero/Reduced Excess includes Super Damage Waiver, Super Theft Protection, Windscreen Protection See above. What's Not Covered: - Loss of keys or documents. - Interior Damage. - Damaged clutch, Damage caused by lack of oil, or incorrect fuel. - Damage caused by fire, vandalism, being blasted, intentional burning, driving under the influence, or by an unauthorized driver is not covered. - Damage caused intentionally, by negligence, or by a breach of the rental agreement's terms and conditions is not covered. - Force Majeure: Damage caused by fire, natural disasters (force majeure), or terrorist attacks is not covered.
