대여위치의 이용약관
- For vehicle Groups: F (Intermediate), G (Premium), H (Luxury), K (Convertible), P (Full Size Pickup), W (Standard), L (Full Size SUV), Z (Premium SUV) and all Group X (Specialty Vehicles). At locations in Canada, you may be asked to provide an additional form of identification as a condition to rent a vehicle. Acceptable forms of additional identification are: Military ID Certificate of Indian Status Canadian passport Canadian Permanent Resident Card Foreign passport that meets the requirements Nexus or Fast/Express card Non-driver's license issued by a province or territory ID card issued by the federal government, provincial or territorial government Credit card (other than the one being used for payment of rental) in Customer's name
- A customer renting a Luxury Car, Minivan, Full-Size Pickup, Full-Size SUV, Premium SUV, Standard SUV or any vehicle in the Specialty/Signature Series/Cool Car categories must be at least 25 years old. Exception: A customer with an acceptable corporate discount number can rent the above car classes at 21 years old without an underage fee. For all other car classes, a customer presenting a major charge card must be at least 21 years old. An underage surcharge of $25.00 CAD per day will apply for renters 21-24 years old. Exception: A customer presenting a major charge card with an acceptable corporate discount number can rent at 21 years old without an underage fee. . A customer presenting an Avis charge card, government-issued Visa/MasterCard or government travel/purchase orders can rent any car class at age 21 without an underage fee.
- Please be aware of roads that maybe "cashless tolls" and drivers on these roads are not able to pay cash once they have entered these roads. You automatically opt into our e-Toll service program and will be charged $17.00 plus GST/HST per rental, plus incurred tolls at the maximum prevailing rates posted by the toll authority. The charges may take 4-8 weeks after the rental to be billed to your credit card/debit card on file.
- At the time of rental, the renter must show a valid drivers license. At the rental counter, the rental agent will check the license for the following information: Provincial seal or stamp Signature Expiration date: the renters drivers license must be valid for the entire rental period Exception: Expired licenses of Canadian military personnel returning from overseas duty will be accepted up to 60 days after discharge. Photograph or description of the renter Renters presenting a license without a photograph are required to present a second means of personal identification with their signature on it. Exception: Renter using Preferred Service are not required to show a second form of id. Any second means of ID with a signature is acceptable, such as a department store charge card, passport, library card, company idendification, etc.; however, the charge card cannot be the same as the renters credit identification. For example, if the renter uses their Visa card as credit identification, they cannon also use the same Visa card as a second ID. Restrictions Licenses with daytime driving restrictions or that restrict the renter to driving for business purposes only are not acceptable. Erasures or corrections Exception: Acceptable if authorized by the province the customer is renting in. Date of birth Canada licenses required by issuing province to rent a vehicle are: Manitoba requires Class 5 Full (F), New Brunswick requires Class 7 (level 2 only) and Class 5, Ontario requires Class G & G2 and all other provinces require Class 5. Any United States state, territory or possession issued license Electronic licenses are not accepted Will not accept license if worn or has wear and tear whereby pertinent information cannot be read. A license issured by a <a href="http://www.abgvoice.com/xvr/web/html/bvr/Countries/United_States/countries_1949_conv.html">country</a> participating in the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic or the 1943 Convention on the Regulation of the Inter-American Automobile Traffic. Customers presenting a drivers license in a non-roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) in additional to their valid drivers license. (IDP contains the customers picture and driver information translated into 10 languages.) Military Drivers License: We will honor CF-B EURO OPERATORS licenses when presented with a valid or expired Canadian license. Military personnel returning from overseas duty ar required to renew expired Canadian licenses within 60 days of return. Temporary licenses are accepted provided they meet the criteria above. Temporary licenses are issued as a replacement to previously qualified drivers and can be issured for the following reasons: A lost license Change of Address (usually involving a change in province or country) Traffic Citations Accepted in lieu of drivers license if issued by these states: Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. The citation must contain a court appearance date. Citations issued by the state of Illinois may be accompanied by a letter from the jurisdiction which included the court appearance date. The citation number must be the same on both documents. The rental must begin and end before the court appearance date. The renter must present a second means of identification with their siganture (see details under the "photograph or description of the renter" bullet point above).
- Extended Roadside Assistance Taxes not included in the Estimated Total and will be applied at the time of rental Extended Roadside Assistance service is available at all participating Avis locations in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico & U.S. Virgin Islands and New Zealand. The daily/weekly fee for the Avis Extended Roadside Assistance Option is subject to change. RSN covers the cost for assistance with key replacement, lockouts, tire change service fee, jump starts and emergency fuel delivery (up to 3 gallons). Prohibited use of the vehicle will void this option. Other Options Rental options not selected/offered on the avis.com website can not be modified online but have been calculated in the Estimated Total. Taxes not included in the Estimated Total and will be applied at the time of rental. Modifications to these rental options must be made by contacting customer service or can be made at the rental counter.
- Towing is not permitted. Vehicles cannot be used to tow or push anything. A trailer hitch cannot be installed on the vehicles.
- The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas or there will be a charge for refueling. Most locations offer a prepaid gas option which you can accept at the rental location. If the vehicle is driven less than 125 kilometers there may be an additional refueling fee, unless a gas receipt is presented at time of return. The customer can check at the time of rental for complete details.
- Winter Rated Tires are mandatory on certain roads or the renter/driver may be ticketed by RCMP. QUEBEC - It is mandatory that all vehicles registered in the province of Quebec be equipped with winter rated tires during the winter months of December through March. All rentals will be charged a daily Tire Management Fee up to 4.50 CAD per day for year-round tire maintenance. The fee is subject to concession recovery fees, GST and QST. ALL OTHER PROVINCES - Winter rated tire equipped vehicles maybe available in the winter season for reservations at some locations. An additional fee up to 30.00 CAD per day will apply. Fees vary by location and car group.
- Avis accepts most major credit cards as credit identification at the time of rental. Accepted credit card list: Avis Charge Card, American Express, AT&T Capital, Diner's Club, Diner's Club Int'l, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, and Visa. Some locations may not accept each of the referenced cards. At the time of rental, a hold of $750.00 CAD or estimated rental charges plus 20%, whichever is greater, is placed on the credit card.
- Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance. Information not available at this time, please check at time of rental. Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
- Vehicles at this location can be driven throughout the Canadian Provinces with no restrictions. Based on availability; One-way rentals may be allowed to some Canadian cities. Vehicles at this location can be driven throughout the continental US with no restrictions. Based on availability; One-way rentals may be allowed to some US cities. Vehicles at this location are not allowed to travel into Alaska. One-way rentals are also not permitted. Vehicles at this location are not allowed to travel into Mexico. One-way rentals are also not permitted.
- Acceptance of the Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) reduces the renters and authorized additional drivers financial responsibility to between 250.00 CAD and 2500.00 CAD depending on car group confirmed, if the car is damaged or stolen while under rental contract. Using the vehicle in violation of any of the use restrictions listed on the rental agreement could void LDW and leave the renter fully responsible for any damage to the vehicle. Partial Loss Damage Waiver (PDW) is available at certain rental locations to relieve the renter of the first $1,000 CAD of the loss of, or damage to, the Avis car. All inquiries regarding PDW availability and cost should be referred to the rental location. All Avis cars are not to be driven on unpaved roads (like gravel, dirt, etc.). If LDW is not accepted, the customer is financially responsible for the full value of the car if: Accident damage Glass damage Vandalism Theft of the car Stolen items such as radio, battery, etc. Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.
- Debit cards are not accepted at the time of rental as credit identification. Debit cards can be used at time of return to pay for the rental, except in British Colombia where they are not accepted.
