      • One-way rentals are available on selected routes within Saudi Arabia, subject to availability and prior confirmation. If a one-way rental is requested during booking, the applicable fee will be included in the quoted price or shown separately. If the vehicle is returned to a different location without prior approval, the current pay-at-location one-way charge may apply. Rentals collected and returned within the same city area are not normally subject to an inter-city one-way fee. The confirmed booking price governs.
      • The cancellation terms depend on whether the booking is prepaid or payable at the rental location. The applicable terms will be shown before the booking is confirmed. Prepaid bookings Cancellation 48 hours or more before the scheduled collection time: full refund, unless a clearly disclosed promotional condition states otherwise. Cancellation less than 48 hours before the scheduled collection time: the refund will be reduced by the cancellation fee shown during booking and in the booking confirmation. No-show: if the booking is not cancelled and the vehicle is not collected, the prepaid amount is non-refundable. Bookings made within 48 hours of collection are subject to the late-cancellation terms shown at booking. Pay-at-location bookings Any cancellation or no-show charge for a pay-at-location booking will be shown in the booking confirmation. Where no charge is stated, the booking may be cancelled before collection without a rental charge, subject to any partner or promotional terms. Where a payment has not been captured, any card authorisation will be released. The card provider controls when the released amount becomes available.
      • Minimum driver age restrictions When you book, you'll be told if there are any minimum age restrictions for the vehicle you request. If you're not sure, please check your booking confirmation email or call our customer support team. You need to be at least 21 years old to hire and drive most of our vehicles. The minimum age depends on the vehicle group. Certain selected or high-value models may have different age requirements. These requirements will be shown during booking or confirmed by the rental location. Young driver surcharge No separate young driver surcharge applies. Drivers must meet the minimum age requirement for the vehicle group selected. Maximum driver age restrictions There is no maximum driver age restriction, provided the driver holds a valid driving licence and meets all other rental requirements.
      • Additional drivers must be approved and specified on the Rental Agreement Form. You must not let anyone else drive the vehicle. All additional drivers must meet our age, driving licence and ID requirements (additional driver surcharges may also apply). If we agree to additional drivers, any fees and surcharges will be stated on your Rental Agreement Form. You will be responsible for all costs whether they're down to you or your additional drivers. It is your responsibility to make sure all additional drivers read the terms set out in the Rental Agreement carefully before they drive the vehicle. A fee is charged for each additional driver allowed to drive the vehicle. The cost is SAR 10.00 per day without VAT, per driver.
      • Requirement to bring a valid driving licence with you. In Saudi Arabia, all drivers must bring their physical valid driving licence with them. The address on the driving licence must be their current address. Saudi citizens and residents must present a valid Saudi driving licence and valid national identification or Iqama. International visitors must present a valid passport, valid entry visa where required, their original national driving licence and an International Driving Permit where required. The name on the driving licence, identification documents, payment card and booking must be consistent. Avis may refuse the rental if the documents cannot be verified or do not meet legal or operational requirements. Minimum licence requirements All drivers must have held their licences for at least 6 months and must present the original licence when collecting the vehicle. If a licence does not show the driver has held it for the minimum period, then they must provide evidence, such as: previous driving licences; or a letter from their driving licence authority stating that they have held it for this minimum period. Valid form of identification You must present original, valid identification when collecting the vehicle: • Saudi citizens: valid Saudi National ID. • Saudi residents: valid Iqama. • International visitors: valid passport and valid entry visa where required. The name on the identification document must be consistent with the booking, driving licence and payment card.
      • The vehicle will be supplied with a recorded fuel or battery level. Unless the renter has selected a different fuel product, the vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level. If it is returned with less fuel, Avis will charge for the missing fuel and any refuelling service fee stated in the booking confirmation or rental agreement. Where a prepaid fuel option or another fuel arrangement is selected, the specific conditions shown during booking and in the rental agreement apply. For electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, the charging level, charging cable requirements and electricity charges will be stated in the booking-specific conditions.
      • We accept: Visa credit cards Visa debit cards Mastercard credit cards Mastercard debit cards Mada cards American Express Cash subject to the rental location, vehicle group and rate conditions. Cash may be used to settle permitted rental charges at participating locations, but it does not replace the payment card required for identification and pre-authorisation. The main driver must present an approved payment card in their own name with sufficient available funds. Current accepted card types include Mada, American Express, Visa and Mastercard, subject to card verification and station acceptance. Prepaid cards and other restricted card products may not be accepted. For selected high-value vehicles, two approved payment cards may be required. This will be shown during booking or confirmed by the rental location. Pre-authorisations, Security Deposits and Excess Before releasing the vehicle, Avis will take either a pre-authorisation or a security deposit using an approved payment card in the main driver’s name. A pre-authorisation places an amount on hold in the card account. It is not a final charge. A security deposit transfers or captures the amount and is later used or refunded when the final rental charges are calculated. The amount depends on the vehicle group, rate, estimated rental charges and optional products. It will be shown during booking, in the booking confirmation or confirmed by the rental location before collection. The excess is the maximum amount the renter may need to pay for each covered incident, subject to the General Conditions, the selected protection products and any exclusions. It is separate from the pre-authorisation or security deposit. Avis will process the final rental charges and request release of any remaining hold after return. The payment-card provider controls how long a released pre-authorisation remains visible or unavailable in the account.
      • Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance. Information not available at this time, please check at time of rental. Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
      • A vehicle may be driven from Saudi Arabia into: Oman Kuwait United Arab Emirates Bahrain only with prior written approval from Avis and an Avis authorisation letter. The renter must visit or contact an Avis branch before travel and provide the documents required for the authorisation and insurance arrangements. The current authorisation service fee is SAR 100 per approved driver. Approval remains subject to the vehicle group, rental rate, insurance conditions, travel dates and destination. Driving outside Saudi Arabia without written approval is prohibited and may invalidate waiver or protection benefits. Cross-border one-way rentals are not available unless Avis expressly confirms the arrangement in writing before collection. Please note that if you are permitted to take the vehicle outside of the Saudi Arabia, it is your responsibility to make sure you comply with legal requirements applicable in the relevant country/countries you travel in.
      • Damage Waiver (Collision Damage Waiver / CDW) Damage Waiver (CDW) is the protection product currently offered under the Saudi Arabia Terms & Conditions. Where included, it will be shown in your booking confirmation and Rental Agreement Form. It limits the amount you may have to pay for each covered incident of damage, subject to the applicable excess, the General Conditions and any exclusions. Included in the rental rate where stated. The applicable excess will be shown during booking and on the Rental Agreement Form. Theft Protection (TP) is not available. Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car. Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.
      • Debit cards are not accepted.
